What happens in your consultation
It's a relaxed, no-pressure conversation - in person on your block or over a call, whichever suits. We want to understand what you're planning, get a feel for the site, and work out whether we're the right team for the job.
You don't need drawings or a fixed brief to start. Bring your ideas, a rough budget if you have one, and any site details you've got - we'll take it from there and tell you honestly what's realistic. We design and draft, we don't build, so the plans stay yours to take to any builder.

You'll be dealing with the people who actually do the work. MT Design Collective is led by Matt Turner, who holds a Bachelor of Design (Architecture) from the University of Newcastle and has more than 20 years in the building industry. We design and draft, we don't build, so the plans are yours to take to any builder, and there's never any pressure to commit.

Is the consultation really free?
Yes. The first 30-minute consultation is free and there is no obligation to proceed.
What happens in the consultation?
We talk through your project, look at your site, and work out the best path forward. You leave with a clear sense of feasibility, the likely approval pathway and next steps.
Do you come to my site, or is it a call?
Whichever suits you. We're happy to meet on your block or have the first chat over the phone or a video call.
What should I prepare?
Nothing formal. Bring your ideas, a rough budget if you have one, and any site details or existing plans you've got - we'll guide the rest.
How soon do I get a quote?
We give you a fixed quote for the full scope within 7 days of the consultation, so you know the cost before you commit.
Am I obligated to go ahead?
Not at all. The consult is no-obligation. If we're a good fit and you're happy with the quote, we start; if not, there's no pressure.
Do you cover my area?
We work across Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Maitland, the Hunter Valley, the Central Coast and down to Sydney, from our Glendale studio.
